Make a PDF smaller (under 2 MB)

Many portals reject documents over 1 or 2 MB, and email services cap attachments at around 25 MB. Scanned PDFs are the usual problem, because every page is a large photo.

Steps

1. Open the tool and add your PDF.
2. Type the limit in MB, for example 2. READY tries stronger levels until the file fits.
3. Save the smaller PDF and check that the text is still easy to read.

Good to know

• READY redraws pages as images to cut the size, so text can't be selected afterwards. It stays readable.
• If a very long PDF can't reach the limit, remove pages you don't need, or split it into parts.
• If the PDF is already well compressed, READY keeps your original.
