Passport-size photo for online forms
"Passport-size" means a photo in the shape of 35 × 45 mm, slightly taller than wide. Online forms, though, measure photos in pixels and KB, and every form sets its own limit.

|---|---|
| Same shape in pixels (300 dpi) | 413 × 531 px |
| Smaller, same shape | 300 × 386 px, good for strict KB limits |
| Typical KB limits on forms | Anything from 20 KB to 200 KB. Check your form. |

- Read your form's rule: the pixel size (if any) and the maximum KB.
- Open READY's photo tool, choose Passport-size, or My form's own rule to type the exact numbers.
- Frame your face, then save. READY keeps lowering the quality until the photo is under the limit.
Tips for a photo that gets accepted
- Stand against a plain, light wall in good daylight, facing the camera.
- Keep your whole head and the top of your shoulders in the frame.
- Don't use a filter or beauty mode.
For a passport itself, the passport office takes your photo. These sizes are for online job, exam and admission forms.
