Image to text (Urdu and English)

Need the words from a photo, a notice or a scanned PDF without typing them again? READY reads the text in the picture and gives it to you to copy, or as a Word or .txt file. It works on your phone; the picture is not uploaded anywhere.

Steps

1. Add a photo, or a PDF made from scans (READY reads up to 20 pages at a time).
2. Choose the language of the text: English, Urdu, or Urdu + English.
3. Tap Get the text. The first time, READY downloads its reader (a few MB); after that it's faster.
4. Copy the text, or save it as a Word file.

For the best result

• Use a sharp, straight photo in good light. Scan it first with READY's scanner if it's tilted.
• Printed (computer-typed) text works best. Handwriting is often not read correctly.
• Urdu in Naskh-style fonts reads better than decorative Nastaliq.
• Always check names and numbers before you use the text.
